Richard is married to Amy; they have two daughters, Lauren Parker (Mrs. Dennis) Hyde (27, a nursing graduate of UNA) and Leah Parker (25, a UNA graduate). Lauren and Dennis had a baby daughter, Catherine, in September 2011. Originally from Columbus, Georgia, Richard moved to Alabama in 1977. He graduated from UNA with a degree in Psychology and obtained a Master of Religious Education at New Orleans Seminary. He has been a youth director for 26 years, 23 of those at Russellville First Baptist. He is the middle child of three boys. Minister of Music/Senior Adults, Bert Fowler

Bert has been married to Carole Norred Fowler for 33 years. They have two children, Andrea (Mrs. Hunter) Sartain (30, an honors graduate from The University of Alabama with a in B.S. nursing, and is employed in Tuscaloosa); Ensley Brooke Sartain was born to Hunter and Andrea February 23, 2012. Daniel (25, a student at The Life University School of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia and a graduate from The University of Alabama) is married to the former Miss Brandi Poss; Braxton Craig Fowler was born July 7, 2012 to Daniel and Brandi.
Bert received a B.S. and an M.A. in Music Education from The University of Alabama. In addition, he received a Master of Church Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, Bert has served as Minister of Music/Youth and Minister of Music/Senior Adults in churches in Ft. Worth, Texas and in Tuscaloosa, Bibb and Franklin counties in Alabama over the past 29 years. He completed his 19th year at FBC Russellville August 2012.

Preschool/Children's Coordinator, Carole Fowler
B.S., University of Alabama
Carole was born and raised in Tuscaloosa County and considers Northport her hometown. In 1979, she received a B.S. in Human Development from the College of Human and Environmental Sciences at The University of Alabama. Upon graduation, Carole was employed by The University of Alabama for approximately five years. She has been involved in children’s ministries at Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas, Emmanuel Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and as a preschool instructor for four years at Northport Baptist Church in Northport, Alabama. For the past 15 years, she has been employed by the Russellville City School system where she works in the Attendance Office and supervises the ISS program at Russellville High School. She and Bert have been married for 33 years, and have two children Andrea (Mrs. Hunter) Sartain, age 30 and Daniel, age 25.
