INFORMATION
The Library is open 30 minutes before and after each scheduled service. In addition, the Library is usually open from 9:30 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Wednesdays, but it is advisable to call ahead first. The Library is located in Room 101 in the hall leading to the piano-side of the sanctuary. Books and tapes may be checked out for a two-week period and may be renewed unless there is a waiting list for a particular item. Items can be renewed or reserved in person or by phone. [332-2065] There is no limit to the number of items that can be checked out at one time. The overdue donation is 10 cents per item per Wednesday and Sunday. Patrons are encouraged to return items on time to avoid overdue donations and extra work for the Library staff.
DONATIONS
The Library gratefully accepts donations given in memory, honor or recognition of someone. Monetary donations are preferred. A bookplate will be attached to the inside cover of the book or tape listing the name of the donor and the name of the person remembered, honored or recognized. The Library also accepts gifts of books and tapes that meet the Library’s mission statement and rules of acceptance outlined in the First Baptist Church Library Manual. No provisional gifts can be accepted. The First Baptist Church Library currently has more that 2,600 books and 500 videos, with new media added monthly. Included in our collection are Christian fiction, non-fiction, and biographies for all interests and all age groups in all media formats.
